PLATINA was established 1999 to provide an audience with the art of jewellery. Since the beginning, many contemporary jewellery artists working with contemporary issues and expressions have been invited to exhibit and sell unique pieces in Stockholm.
Within the space we have a gallery, shop and studio and we regularly cooperate with other institutions, galleries and museums with magic things as exhibitions, popup events, experimental projects, lectures, education, seminars and more. Over the years, we have been working internationally with amazing artists and clients from all over the world.
When visiting us, you will find unique pieces made by jewellery artist and works made in our studio. We welcome commissions for special and meaningful occasions including gifts and wedding rings.
PLATINA opened up for the public at Odengatan in Stockholm. The interior was awarded 2001 by the magazine Forum. 2013, 12 years later, Sofia Björkman was awarded by the organisation Svensk Form, for her work with the gallery. In 2021, we relocated to Tegnérgatan 4 - our current address in central Stockholm.
The gallery is supported by The Swedish Arts Council and recommended by Homo Faber Guide for excellence in craftsmanship.
We are members of: Stockholms Hantverksförening, Guldsmedsmästarföreningen
Konsthantverkscentrum, Art Jewellery Forum and KLIMT02
PLATINA is at street level with a small step at the entrance. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information about accessibility.

JULIA MARIA KÜNNAP
- The perfection of an idea is visualised in the faceting diagram, where a gem is described by a formula: a table of faceting angles, indexes and instructions…
Julia Maria Künnap is a jewellery artist from Estonia. She works with natural gemstones and has developed a technique to combine the facet cut and free form engraving.
Künnap graduated from Estonian Academy of Arts, Jewellery Art Department 2004. She has also studied at Alchimia School of Contemporary Jewellery, Florence and Konstfack University of Arts and Crafts in Stockholm.

Platina makes jewellery and objects on commission for specific purposes and occasions, ranging from private wedding rings and gifts to details in design, scenography, fashion and more.
All the rings we make are unique and handmade. We care of the crafts, the artistic expression and that the materials and techniques used are taken with regard to environmental issues. The precious metals we use are recycled. We are members of the Goldsmiths Masters and The Swedish Craft and Small Business Association.
The images shown here are a few examples of all the rings we have made .
